Task Responsibilities:
Sales Channel Management
- Monitor quoting and booking activities via internal systems, the customer portal, and API channels using provided tools (
- Promote digital sales channels and align customer needs with Digital Sales.
- Implement the In-house Sales work process.
- Address irregularities and fluctuations in sales activity in coordination with the Country Manager and the Team.
- Propose activity improvements in collaboration with Sales Managers and Country Managers.
- Report non-market reflective pricing across all channels.
Team Management
- Set competitive KPIs for the team and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Lead daily briefings to outline short-term sales strategies and pro-active targets.
- Coordinate ad hoc sales strategies and make regular adjustments as needed.
- Enhance the team’s knowledge in data analytics for day-to-day operations.
- Monitor booking processes and ensure timely updates.
- Continuously improve work processes for greater efficiency.
- Promote Cargolux’s values and act as a role model for the team.
- Safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all procedures.
- Train staff and manage administrative tasks.
- Support the department head with training and administrative responsibilities.
Cross-Divisional Collaboration
- Foster collaboration with other departments to enhance communication.
- Hold regular meetings with Sales Management to exchange ideas, strategies, and insights on customer behavior.
- Liaise with the accounting team to ensure proper invoicing and address any challenges.
- Serve as the primary contact for all freight transport inquiries.
- Collaborate regularly with the Route Management Team on short-term sales strategies and provide feedback on market dynamics.
Customer Service Excellence
- Ensure timely and professional delivery of quotes to customers.
- Follow up on customer inquiries and resolve escalations.
- Implement a proactive approach to short-term sales hunting.
- Redirect customers to appropriate sales channels to optimize team efficiency and promote digital bookings.
Essential Requirements For The Position:
- At least 6 years of proven Cargo experience is a must
- Experience in leading a team
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- Excellent interpersonal skills (empathize with employees, challenge and motivate the team )
- Motivated leading by example and hands-on mentality are required
- Should be able to set goals, think analytical, be flexible, act independently and on your own responsibilities
- Ability to prioritize when presented with a high volume of work load
- Economical understanding of the air cargo market
Working Conditions:
- Position based in Frankfurt
- Occasional travel
- A certificate of good conduct will be required
