Responsible for the development, implementation, improvement and continuous reinforcement of established Safety, Security fundamental practices that are utilized in the Engineering organization. Focused on having robust processes that meet the internal and external operational requirements to achieve business goals and objectives.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives, and manage, plan, execute activities related to EHS, Security and daily operations in Engineering organization.
- Promote a Safety culture by implementing an effective communication program to deliver strong safety messages to employees and managers.
- Ensure organizational awareness is achieved to the internal operational policies and procedures as they pertain to the position to ensure that all activities are carried out safely, effectively, with the highest quality and according to laws and regulations.
- Prepare internal and external audit plans including EHS/Security audits.
- Collaborate with GE Aerospace Engineering Business focal to support business specific initiatives in a prompt and effective manner to achieve common goals and targets.
- Serve as the primary interface during business internal audits and external regulatory agency audits. Ensure timely and effective responses to, and closures of, findings during audits.
- Lead EHS, Security, Facilities Programs, including related GE Aerospace Framework requirements embedded with local rules and regulations.
- Manage Health and Occupational Safety Board Meetings as employer’s representative.
- Lead Operations and Engineering in the Management of Change.
- Collaborate with Sourcing to ensure TTC’s purchasing metrics affected by indirect sourcing, monitor supplier quality and delivery performance and develop improvement strategies to ensure business needs are met.
- Lead the operations team to control of the service charge budgets and expenditures relating to all aspects of facilities and operations to maximize the quality of the offering.
- Demonstrate knowledge and make personal judgements on how to undertake work to achieve quality, cost, scope, and time objectives.
- Support to identify new areas of opportunity to drive cost out, implement operating efficiency or improve productivity. Assist the Senior Management Team in meeting the operational and productivity targets.
- Supervise support functional team including quality, security, facilities, operations, EHS sourcing, fixed asset management, customs and occupational health and safety.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in related areas, familiarity with Security, EHS, Facility, Contract Management, Change Management and overall daily business operations.
- Bachelors’ degree in Engineering from accredited University.
- Proven ability to maintain high ethical standard and lead by example.
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal (both Turkish & English) and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, confident, lateral thinker, strong team player.
- High-energy level and a disciplined professional style.
- Demonstrated understanding of continuous quality / process improvement tools and methods (e.g. Root cause analysis, failure mode analysis, Risk Management, LEAN, Kaizen, SPC, 5S, genba walks and etc.).
- Ability to interface effectively with senior business and functional leaders throughout the organization. Ability to maintain confidentiality and inspire trust.
- Process and detail-oriented, including strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
