RMA Line Lead

Position Summary
Thales is looking for an RMA (Return Material Administration) Line Lead to perform a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical or mechanical production sub-assembly and top assembly operations of a semi-skilled nature to build up and assemble difficult and complex units by performing the following duties as well as providing support to the line and managing production schedule.
In this position, you will also have daily leadership of RMA line personnel to assign daily tasks & priorities, and to be the main interface with the engineering teams.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Provide work leadership and guidance to operators through assignment or work review of progress and monitoring of results; Support audits- FAA, AS9100, ISO14001/ISO45001, Boeing, Airbus and internal; Determine method and sequence of assembly operations where complete information is not readily available or follows assembly shop router and production operations sheets, wire lists, samples, blue prints, schematics and verbal instructions to perform a wide variety of assembly operations. Follow all released procedures, MAI’s and test procedure; Utilize small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
- Work with cross functional teams (LFM, Production, Product engineers and Product support teams); Engage with outside customers to quote labor schedule and repair timelines for Part43 material; Identifies and selects components using Bills of Materials/Parts List for integration into sub-assembly and top assembly units.
- Performs monthly inventory cycle counts and corrects discrepancies with the assistance of RMA planner/buyer. Also responsible for yearly physical inventory count for WIP locations; Makes own set-ups, alignments and adjustments maintaining tolerance in accordance with instructions; Disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes, reassembles, and tests units as required.
- Must be able to manage and maintain cross-training program to develop individuals with their related job functions; Manage inventory supermarket to have an efficient flow of material thru assembly line and maintain inventory accuracy at all times by performing daily/weekly cycle count.
- Enforce Lean concepts and 5S programs for continuous improvements; Maintain monthly calibration/certification to ensure all test equipment, hand tools, and machineries returned or location communicated for calibration/certification and/or preventive maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with support team; mfg. engineer/product engineer, planner/buyer and product scheduler to maintain production schedule and prevent delays to customer commitment; Support daily team huddles; Provide root cause analysis with relevant information and corrective actions. Ensure all findings are properly documented using the available SAP tools; Utilizes all Company’s resources such as SAP, Team Center, Chorus2.0, QPulse, Tool Watch and NetInspect to ensure data integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 5 year’s electronics assembly and /or test experience.
- Read and interpret assembly drawing and schematics to be used for troubleshooting; Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Communication: Write routine reports and correspondence; Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization; Bilingual language skills (English & Spanish) is preferred, but not required; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Able to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs; Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Special Position Requirements
- Schedule: Core business hours, Monday - Friday, may be required to work overtime after normal shift hours and/or on weekends.

- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. What We Offer
The anticipated TTC range for this role is $59,164.72 - $109,877.33 USD Annual. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
