About the team
As Portfolio Project Manager you lead a team consisting of multiple Customer Project Managers and a Product Project (development) Manager. Each of these PM has their teams, which may be shared resources.
The Customer Project manager has a Project Management Office consisting of quality, planning, contract and legal and financial managers, the Product Project Manager has at her/his disposal a PMO and a technical team consisting of an Architect, Engineering Delivery Manager (who is managing the engineering Work Packages), Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Project Manager, ILS Work Package Manager and Series Test Manager.
About your future job
As Portfolio Project Manager you are responsible for setting up and executing both Customer Projects (managing Customers together with your team) and a Product Development Project (managing the development, series production and the delivery of a radar/sensor to a Customer project, together with your team). You are allocated to the segment Surveillance and Multi Mission sensors and you report to the Product Segment Manager directly.
As a Portfolio Project Manager you will scope and define projects, and deliver products in compliance with customer requests. You will drive forward projects by managing time, quality and project profitability and by ensuring customer satisfaction.
The main tasks are:
- Manage the customer project portfolio on all aspects (delivery, quality, budget, planning, legal)
- Manage the customer requirements towards the standard product and minimizing variants
- Provide a controlled and predictable execution of the Product Development.
- Are responsible for contact with and reporting to the relevant stakeholders (product segment management, (external) project management)
- Contribute to reviews, evaluations and product road map activities
- Drive the business via Capability Insertion Projects on the installed base

- Have excellent leadership skills
- Are strong in motivating and organizing project team members.
- Have excellent communication skills and are able to communicate effectively on different levels in the organization.
- Are fluent in English
- IPMA-B certification is a plus.
