The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia's Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services division is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated
Fleet Planning Leadto join the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) program. The role can be located at HMAS Albatross in Nowra, NSW or the Army Aviation Training Centre in Oakey, Queensland.
Our team provides continuing airworthiness support for the Australian Defence Force's fleet of Airbus EC135 helicopters. As the Fleet Planning Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimisation of fleet availability through effective planning of aircraft maintenance and modification programs. Working with your team, you will be responsible for coordinating with key program, maintenance, engineering, and customer stakeholders to understand future maintenance/upgrade requirements, and workforce and facility constraints in order to develop short- and long-range plans. This role requires a critical thinker who enjoys problem solving in a complex environment.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical aircraft maintenance and upgrade fleet plans.
- Conduct fleet planning modelling and analysis to develop recommendations which use data to optimise resource and facilities constraints to achieve fleet availability objectives.
- Prepare impact statements and respond to short notice changes impacting aircraft maintenance and or support system planning.
- Analyse maintenance program data and performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to improve fleet availability and utilisation.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate Fleet plans, performance, and value-based recommendations to senior management and customer stakeholders.
- Build positive relationships with key stakeholders to enable Fleet Planning integration across the HATS enterprise.
- Providing technical guidance and support to team members.
Your checklist for success:
- Previous experience in aircraft maintenance scheduling or a similar role.
- Familiarity with maintenance planning software and tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to manage, interpret and present data for informed decision making.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams to build positive relationships based on trust.
- Ability to obtain ‘Baseline' security clearance.
