PURPOSE
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager, Customer Project Delivery responsible borders and governments related projects, overseeing a range of complex projects and programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our customers.
Reporting to the PMO Director, you will join a dynamic global project and program delivery organization that has a broad range of responsibilities from bid management to customer delivery, product development, and organizational change management. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams within SITA's Borders Unit, such as commercial, engineering & technology, product, finance, and you will be responsible to ensure the customer facing team meets its on time delivery commitments & project revenue targets.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the project throughout its life cycle - from inception through project closure. You will manage change, mitigate risks, and deliver results to stakeholders and customers alike. Attention to detail, effective time management and influencing people skills are key ingredients to be successful in managing projects.
- Work effectively with team members that may be local or distant. You will regularly track project activities against plan schedules and take corrective action on any deviations. Communicate to team members, management, stakeholders and customers regularly and frequently ensuring that there is continuous understanding and alignment regarding the projects’ progress.
- Work with the customer and their teams to ensure that each project goal and objective is met with satisfaction.
- Documentation ranges from developing communications strategy plans, designing resource and project plans, providing status reports, submitting and tracking change requests, tracking risks and issues, providing variance reports to providing Steering Committee reports and lessons learned.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS:
- Minimum of 8 years managing a project team responsible for projects and programs of varying sizes, complexities, budgets, and deliverables, ideally within the aviation IT services sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Formal project management training and certification such as PMP, Prince2.
- Strong communication abilities with proven experience in speaking in front of executives and senior management.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to track multiple project facets and develop dashboards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, globally dispersed teams, and skillfully influence stakeholders.
- Strong problem solver driven to uncover and implement effective solutions.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
NICE-TO-HAVE
Experience in aviation industry is a plus.
