What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with engineering disciplines and utilize relevant production knowledge to author Aircraft Production Work Instructions.
- Assist on and off aircraft build up, rework, and repairs to electrical components, interior closeouts, metallic and composite assemblies, wiring harnesses, and composite secondary bonding.
- Support continuous improvement projects for scaling the Midnight Test Vehicle build for Production for manufacturing process and tooling.
- Utilizes various forms of engineering and technical information such as model based engineering definition, wiring & schematic diagrams, engineering dispositions, and ground support / test equipment to support the build of our Midnight Test Vehicles.
- Mentor other manufacturing engineers on final assembly processes and design for manufacturability improvements.
- Review engineering design releases for manufacturability, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and complete process requirement definition.
- Collaborate with quality engineering to develop control plans for the Midnight Test Vehicles.
What you need:
- 10+ years of related experience in Aerospace.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in related field in Aerospace, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
- Understanding of AS9100 requirements.
- Must have extensive experience using shop tools and calibrated aerospace tooling
- Understanding aircraft safety, tool control, FOD, and industry standards.
- Experience working with composite material layup, secondary bonding, and/or final assembly.
- Working knowledge of and ability to review geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Building and revising work instructions.
- Experience working in a product development environment.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Google suite.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment with adaptability to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Great communication skills and a high attention to detail are required.
Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in related field of Aerospace Manufacturing.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IPC 610/620 & AC43.13-B
- A&P certification
- Experience working with an MES
- Experience with electric aircrafts
- Experience with high voltage wiring, batteries, and electric motor controllers
- Aircraft configuration management and conformity experience

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $118,150 - $145,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
