About Us

  • Norse Atlantic Airways, launched in March 2021, is a new long-haul airline that will offer affordable fares on transatlantic routes. Bjørn Tore Larsen is the founder, CEO, and the major shareholder of the airline. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a brand-new airline from scratch. As the world reopens, the public needs an innovative, low-cost intercontinental airline with modern, more environmentally friendly- and fuel-efficient aircraft.
  • Norse Atlantic Airways will serve the intercontinental market with modern, fuel-efficient, and more environmentally friendly Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Among other destinations, it will serve New York, Florida, Paris, London and Oslo. The first flights are expected to take off in late first quarter or early second quarter of 2022. The company expects that its 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners will be in the air by summer 2022.
  • Norse Atlantic Airways will create many new jobs in the air and on the ground both in Europe and the U.S. The company’s employees will be directly employed by the airline. It will offer competitive wages and benefits as well as collective agreements. Norse Atlantic has signed pre-hire agreements with the Association of Flight Attendants, the largest cabin union in the U.S., and the British Airline Pilots Association. The company is also in dialogue with pilot and cabin unions in other countries, including Norway.
  • Norse Atlantic Airways expects to have approximately 1,600 employees by summer 2022, based in the U.S., UK, and Norway.
