As the Marketing Manager – Travel, Services & Lifestyle you will be responsible for the end to end strategy, management and execution of marketing activity within the Retail Partners team, including our own retail affiliate platform Qantas Shopping. This role is strategically and directly responsible for leading major partnerships and initiatives, setting the strategy for growth and delivering campaigns that contribute significant revenue.
Playing a lead role and working closely with our Commercial teams, this position will lead the development and implementation of annual partner and program marketing plans. Essential to this role is the ability to build strong relationships to drive strategic outcomes for our business, and to manage, mentor and develop a team to achieve their best results. This role requires effective budget management, a sound understanding of data and insights, good technical product knowledge and the ability to successfully manage competing priorities and stakeholder needs.
You’ll have:
- 5 years’ + demonstrated direct/digital marketing experience
- Tertiary qualifications in a marketing or business related field
- Extensive experience in dealing with senior management in marketing and business roles
- A proven ability to identify and execute marketing opportunities
- Extensive experience in managing marketing campaigns, end to end, preferably within a data driven context
- Team leadership and development experience
- Partner management and negotiation experience
- Excellent budget management skills
- Extensive experience dealing with media and advertising agencies and marketing service providers
- Strong understanding of campaign reporting and analysis techniques
- Strong understanding of ROI measurement techniques
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
- Previous experience working with digital product teams and good technical understanding of digital products (web and app)
- Ability to engage people through communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise diverse business objectives
