Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining and setting up equipment and process solutions in plating area. Ability to operate all processes and generate the appropriate documentation, records, and reports. Support quality, engineering, and manufacturing as needed.
Responsibilities
- Read work instructions on computer to follow plating procedures.
- Obtain parts, work order and blueprints and then determine plating method and thickness.
- Follow Rack or Barrel Instructions
- Perform related work as required.
- Chemical awareness and safe cyanide handling awareness
- Handles hazardous wastes
Qualifications
High school diploma. 1-3 years manufacturing experience. Knowledge of chemistry a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to prioritize workload. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Experience in visual inspection for plating defects. Able to discuss technical problems encountered with manager and engineering. Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills. Ability to use the computer for finding work instructions. |
Typical Mental and Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk, use hands to operate a computer and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the employee is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
