The role
As a Supply Warehouse Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Providing support to RAF Boulmer and its parented units which are based country wide.
Day-to-day, you’ll Operate the station supply Materiel Account currently operated under an automated data processing (ADP) system, MJDI, as well as:
- Assist in maintaining adequate records of stores accounts which should reflect all supply activity involving the receipt, issue, storage, loan, disposal, or transfer of equipment, in accordance with the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF).
- Ensure that the receipt, issue, and secure storage of all stores is carried out iaw all appropriate safety regulations.
- Carry out the receipt, secure storage issues and exchange of clothing including Operational Kitting facilitating uniform exchanges iaw with the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF), including formal clothing parades.
- Provide support carrying out the receipt, secure storage, issue and exchange of Clothing and Defence Accommodation Stores including furnishings in all SFA and single living-in blocks, facilitating uniform exchanges and Operational Clothing.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Boulmer, however there is potential for working on site and at home.
Essential experience of the Supply Warehouse Operative:
- Computer literacy in Office 365 and Windows 10.
- The ability to adapt to utilising MOD computerised systems i.e.: MOD Net/Share Point/MJDI etc, which are regularly upgraded and updated.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and to problem solve.
- A willingness to qualify and be regularly tested on any course which is a requirement of this position.
