As our finance team is expanding, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Lead to join our affiliated operating partner Jet Edge in Columbus, OH. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with genuine interest in finance and seeking a career within an international business.
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions, ensuring that all payments are process accurately, efficiently and in compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Your duties will include;
- Assist the Accounts Payable Specialists with invoice discrepancies, vendor inquiries and statement reconciliations.
- Prepare and execute payment disbursements and cash clearing.
- Review expense accruals and assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end journal entries.
- Compile, analyze, and report open payables on a weekly basis for payment scheduling and financial reporting.
- Support intercompany reconciliations and entries.
- Implement and communicate the policies and procedures of the Accounts Payable controls.
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing key vendors.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the line manager.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a high volume, automated accounts payable environment.
- Experience with SAP, Net Suite, or related large ERP systems a plus.
- Understanding of US GAAP standards is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities across multiple departments and workstreams.
