Crane Aerospace & Electronics is looking for a dynamic Sr. Electronics Technician for our Electrical Engineering Team in Burbank, CA . Position Overview: Responsible for performing Qualification and Design Verification testing including setup, documentation and data acquisition from a defined test procedure. Primary Responsibilities: Setup and perform testing per Qualification Test Procedures. Build hydraulic test stands and simulators following a schematic and install and connect all required instrumentation. Setup data acquisition system to record required data. Fabricate wire harnesses from a drawing Ensure that tests are properly documented, data is properly acquired, reduced and labeled and assist with test reports. Ensure all lab test equipment is calibrated and properly maintained. Travel to outside labs and work offsite as required. Minimum Qualifications: Experience : 3+ years of experience as a technician in hardware test engineering, preferably in an aerospace related product field. EMC testing experience is desired. Knowledge : Instrumentation techniques for test systems (temperature, flow and pressure sensors) . A basic understanding of electronics and hydraulics. Knowledge of how to bend and flare hydraulic tubing. Skills : Proficiency in office tools such as Word and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability : Read assembly drawings and hydraulic schematics. Troubleshoot test failures and assist in Failure Analysis and Corrective Action Investigations. Travel to outside labs and work offsite as required. Education / Certification : AA degree from community college in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent knowledge through experience or other recognized educational institution. Eligibility Requirement : Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible. Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with RTCA/DO-160 Test Specifications Experience testing hydraulic or electronic components. Work Environment: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, heal straps, and shop coats.
