ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
As Senior Project Manager you will drive various programs and/or complex project initiatives maintaining and improving the Cluj site, engagement, and project management. You will need to conduct drive the site and employee engagement that meets the needs of our diverse customer base in a fast-paced environment with colleagues and customers located worldwide. Success in this role means you are exceptionally attentive to detail, are skilled at forecasting and planning deliverables, milestones, and tasks activities.
As this role is a combination of project management and site leadership/general manager, you will provide leadership and oversite of the site management, facilities, employee engagement, and adherence to SITA policies and guidelines.
You will be able to work independently, within groups, and provide a supporting role for remote leadership to build their teams, support the overall CTO and Tech and Eng goals and objectives, and provide support and productivity reporting and oversite.
As the location general manager, you will build the location as a “best place to work” and support a culture of collaboration, efficiency, openness, and show case of the SITA values.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Managing programs and/or projects - Program and project sizes will vary in scope and complexity. You can efficiently and effectively manage your project workload throughout its life cycle - from bidding and inception through project closure. You can build business cases and develop capacity plans. You can control change, mitigate risks, and deliver results as committed. You regularly track project activities against plan schedules and take corrective action against any deviations. Exceptional attention to detail, effective time management and influencing people skills are key ingredients to be successful in managing projects.
- Working with project teams - You work effectively with virtual leaders and management and their local team members. You can easily and effectively communicate and negotiate up and down the organizational hierarchy. Your communication activities cover team members, management, stakeholders and customers alike frequently ensuring that there is continuous understanding and alignment regarding project progress.
- Working with internal customers - You are committed to putting the customer first. As a result, you proactively work with the customer and their teams to ensure that each project goal and objective is met with satisfaction. As this will be a diverse site, dominated by Tech and Engineering portfolios, you will need to align with the needs of Tech and Eng while considering the overall employee population.
- Project Management administration - Your ability to write clearly and simply are key skills to documenting project activities. Documentation ranges from developing communications strategy plans, designing resource and project plans, providing status reports, submitting and tracking change requests, tracking risks and issues, providing variance reports to providing Steering Committee reports and lessons learned. Accuracy is key.
- Engagement - Manage periodically employee engagement activities such as confluence days, offsites, townhalls, and annual employee experience surveys etc. aligned with the rest of T&E sites
- Sita brand and recruiting management - Drive the SITA brand locally and engage with local universities, government authorities, and other supporting agencies to improve the geographic benefits and visibility.
- Site infrastructure - oversee site security compliance in accordance with SITA requirements related but not limited to data privacy, data accessibility and data security.
EXPERIENCE:
- Possess a solid track record of success in managing multiple projects and small programs including complexities, budgets and deliverables within a commercial environment.
- 2-3 years' experience managing complex environment
- 5-7 years' experience developing and executing technical and engaging communications
- 5-7 years’ experience with a technology solutions developer or services provider.
- The ability to work independently, an entrepreneurial mind-set and customer service orientation
- Managerial adeptness
- Outgoing personality, good communication skills and a self-confident manner at the customer
- University degree or equivalent (Business Administration, Technical Management, Scrum, Software Development)
- Formal project management training and certification - PMP certified
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Demonstrated attention to detail, strong writing ability and solid oration and follow up skills.
- Work autonomously as well as effectively alongside leaders and virtual portfolio leaders.
- Drive strong grasp of day to day and site budget/spending.
