Job Description
Purpose
The Offer Product Manager will be part of an effective best-in-class Product Management team, responsible for articulating and managing the Offer product functionality from customer business requirements to user acceptance. She or he will strive for a consultative approach, orchestrate the best adapted solutions and portfolio, helping airline leaders succeed in their strategy.
Airline or travel industry experience is a plus, but not essential.
Key Accountabilities
- Articulate product strategy and innovation
_ Follow market, industry and technology trends that transform the airline retailing landscape.
_ Define the product strategy in collaboration with the Offer Business Owner, Train PM, Product Marketing and R&D, in line with Airline new business retailing model.
_ Identify, gather and use data for decision making.
_ Foster innovation to unlock business value.
_ Participate in industry groups such as IATA, ATPCo and AGIFORS to understand market trends, present Amadeus solutions, and shape the industry transformation.
_ Identify, assess, and benchmark business needs from customers / prospects aligned with the product strategy.
_ Build the product plan/roadmap & long-term plan.
_ Consolidate and articulate business needs into new product concepts or upgrades.
_ Provide key information on the product-to-Product Marketing to define the Value proposition
_ Contribute to the launch plan with Product Marketing and other associated teams.
_ Share content for product documentation, sales tools, and collateral.
_ Create standard and tailor-made presentations, and demo scripts showing product value.
_ Give presentations, demos and familiarization sessions to customer, or train Sales to perform them.
_ Participate in the preparation of key events, guaranteeing the success of product launches and follow up.
_ Contribute to answering RFP/RFI for the product.
- Ensure customer satisfaction
_ Provide support and assistance to customer.
_ Monitor product acceptance, product performance and satisfaction
_ Take corrective action as necessary.
- Agile Product Management / Epic Owner activities
_ Participate in the R&D Trains, implement the product vision & the business value in line with the business owners, the train PM’s, the product owners & agile teams.
_ Participate in the Offer PM Train, identify and prioritize backlog items and deliver assigned objectives.
_ Communicate to, and gain adoption by, customers & Amadeus teams on product vision, share product knowledge and ensure mutual understanding of the business.
_Maximize the agile team outcome: translate requirements into epics and/or user stories, prioritize them and validate their delivery.
- Formalize requirements (scoping)
_ Propose solutions that meet the business needs of customers whilst aligning with Amadeus product strategy.
_ Assess potential gaps between customer requirements and Amadeus solutions.
_ Write a high-level business requirement and/or document detailed requirements and epics and/or user stories.
- Lead design and development using the SAFe framework
_ Work closely with Design and Development teams to define priorities and product-releasing plan for new products or product upgrades.
_ Participate in Sprint planning & reviews.
_ Own or review solution Epics to ensure they correspond to identified customer / market needs
Requirements
- University degree in Science, Business, Product Management, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in Product Management/Product Marketing practices / in managing B2B Software Products or SaaS
- Experience in working in an Agile environment.
- Experience in customer facing professional positions.
- Experience in the one of the areas of the Offer solution scope (Revenue Management, Dynamic Pricing, Shopping, Servicing, Availability, Inventory and Schedules) is a plus.
- Experience in Airline Industry, PSS and evolution of the market is a plus.
Education
B-School BS Degree, MS Degree preferred.
Relevant Work Experience
8 to 12 years of experience
