Specialist Accounting (CUN)
Position Summary
The Specialist Accounting is responsible for the weekly payroll of Airport and Ground Operations Crewmembers and tracking all cash generated at the airport.
Essential Responsibilities
- Reconcile ticket sales daily
- Prepare change funds
- Track and accumulate weekly work hours for Airport and Ground Operations Crewmembers located at the airport using the payroll system
- Record attendance information for analysis
- Review expense reports and receipts submitted by Customer Service Crewmembers
- Prepare daily bank deposits for all cash generated at the airport by JetBlue
- Collect all tickets that are issued to Crewmembers of other airlines and passengers for use on JetBlue Airways
- Keep track of voided transactions at station
- Review and process invoices for local vendors and other invoices as assigned
- Perform weekly reviews of cash management at other stations
- Coordinate logistics for events such as meals, transportation, hotels, etc.
- Issue work letters for Crewmembers and enroll new hires in local benefits package
- Manage petty cash funds at the station
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Two (2) years of Customer Service experience
- Complete fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Must be able to acquire and maintain an appropriate Airport Security Clearance Identification
- Must acquire and maintain a Customs Clearance
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the country in which the position is based is required. This position is not eligible for visa or work permit sponsorship
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
- Two (2) years of Accounting/Payroll experience
- Ability to quickly learn new software programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record license from the state of your primary residence
- Ability to maintain a positive, good-natured attitude in a high-pressure environment

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
