ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
The purpose of the position is to ensure proper delivery and hand-over to operation of all components of the PAX solutions and support the creation of hand-over packages for downstream teams such as QA test, training, delivery, operations. The position can require travel as needed to provide support to downstream teams and customers.
The position also consists in coaching and training Geo engineers to act both as on-site delivery support in case of Geo request and as solution specialists for each PAX product. The goal is to help creating a proper design, validation, and training airport environment to be used both for testing the deployments and validating the deployment procedures elaborated with the infrastructure engineers and the DevOps teams.
The position holder will be responsible for delivery of IT elements of projects and managing suppliers as part of this. Ensuring business requirements are met, keeping projects on-time and on-budget. Following existing IT policies and procedures where appropriate to ensure that projects are delivered into the business-as-usual processes in a supportable manner. He will be part of the PAX Delivery Specialist Team.

The role requires understanding how to integrate software & related technology for SITA’s airport-based passenger handling systems including advanced biometrics processing, passenger check-in/boarding, passenger flow monitoring, and airport management systems. The position requires the integration of various technologies including: self-boarding gates, baggage drop units, airline peripherals (e.g. boarding pass printers, boarding gate readers), biometric devices (e.g. face recognition, fingerprint reader, iris scanner), custom and device specific software (e.g. biometric matching, passenger validation).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Qualify delivery requests & issues from the Geos (implementation engineers and airport managers), Provide support (delivery) in relation with Geo & SGS airport teams
- Ensuring the readiness of the delivered solution for operational support, Coach the PAX infrastructure engineers to perform 3rd level support, design solutions on-premise airport deployment and implement deployment guides
- Support the standardization of system Level Architecture, Support the automation of system Implementation
- Standardize/Define security architecture regarding patch management, anti-virus, server hardening, Active Directory, etc
- Support the engineering of Disaster Recovery, Back/Restore and other fault tolerance related product elements & Integrate with Cloud Architecture (public/private/Edge)
- Evaluate 3rd Party Software and integrate as required, Review, validate and improve/adjust the designed solution in Project initiation phase
- Provide feedback to management regarding the requirements for the software (and related technology) being considered for integration & on-premises deployment, Evaluate and recommend add-on utilities for system administration and troubleshooting.
- Support of projects into service with full supporting business processes, technical documentation and support procedures.
- Managing external suppliers to ensure delivery of works and equipment to meet deadlines. Carrying out Quality Assurance on works when complete.
- Write or review documentation for each integration. (Documentation includes details such as: Installation, customization, backup, and troubleshooting information), Assist other downstream teams as needed & Ability to travel worldwide on a regular basis
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent technical discipline related to job description.
- 5+ years of systems integration and/or server administration experience.
- MCSE or a minimum of two years in Active Directory is a plus.
- Windows 2016/2019/2022 Server (MCSA/MCSE)

- Knowledge of Virtualization Technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Hyper-converged infrastructure, etc.)
- Knowledge of Cloud Environments (e.g. Azure, AWS)
- Management of Queuing Services (e.g. RabbitMQ, MSMQ, IBM MQ, …)
- Automation and Scripting - BASH, Power Shell, Java, VBA, …
- Good Knowledge of Redundancy/Backup technologies: RAID, Tape Backup, NAS etc.
