Job Title
Senior Duty Manager, Aircraft Services
Reports To
Assistant Manager Aircraft Services
Role Purpose
Enforce operational performance (OTP, MHB, BOT and service delivery) and maintain operational service delivery to meet safety and security and the target set by the units as per ADS, Malaysia Airline and Foreign Carrier SLA requirements in daily operations.
Key Accountability
- Responsible to endure the report is sufficient to be presented to Hub Control Centre (HCC) before the Daily Departmental Review Meeting (DDRM) and attending the meeting as a representative of any process improvement to the unit.
- To attend Daily Operation Review Meetings (DORM) and Operations Review Meetings (ORM) chaired by Flight Operation Team (MAB) to close any issue related to the OTP and propose improvement processes to business operations.
- Becomes a liaison for foreign carriers with respect to operations performance, service disruptions, incidents and accidents.
- Ensures equipment is in good operating condition and implements all unit initiatives such as card reader compliance, safety and security.
- Ensure that departmental administrative matters are managed in accordance with the departmental policy and procedures of an airline and lead during a foreign carrier's audit.
- Participate in operations meetings as a means of obtaining information, identifying procedural issues and focusing on continuous improvement in the absence of the Assistant Manager.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Degree in any field of study or its equivalent from recognised institutions with at least two (1) year of working experience in any filed.
- Tertiary education (STPM/Diploma/Professional qualification) in any field of study or its equivalent from recognised institutions with at least five (3) years of working experience in any field.
Skills & Knowledge
- Good knowledge of systems and regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and efficiency in performing ground-handling operations.
- Sound leadership and managerial skills.
- Strong communication skills both in Bahasa Melayu and English (written and spoken).
- Good knowledge of the aviation industry and/or Airport operations/ Ground operations.
- Good communicative skills.
- Able to influence and have good presentation skills.
Key Challenges
- Ability to monitor, measure, acknowledge and manage challenges quickly and effectively.
- The challenge is to get buy-in for new process improvements.
- Incomplete report by the Duty Manager and supervisor.
- Complaint from Foca station Head and other business units.
- To coach and advice the operation's team revised operation process.
