ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
As a Senior Manager Platform Development, you will be managing the PAX PPE team (PAX Platform Enablement), teams that design develop maintain support platform & infrastructure for the SITA Airport Passenger portfolio, using appropriate resources processes methodologies and technologies in compliance with SITA's policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Maintain overall accountability for complex and/or large-scale platform development maintenance and support projects that have a significant cross-functional business impact ensuring the solution(s) developed are able to sustain the long-term goals of the business.
- Manage the cross functional PPE team according to the SRE pattern in close relationship with the PAX engineering teams, the other CTO teams, operation and security.
- Ensure that the PPE team capacity is used optimally balancing the product goals and the need for performance reliability at the best possible cost.
- Secure the deployment of an optimized operation model for the PAX domain in relation with the PAX engineering teams and SGS.
- Lead teams to monitor analyze and perform feasibility assessments of new and emerging technology and products.
EXPERIENCE:
- 15+ years of experience in software development with cloud engineering experience with demonstrated proficiency in managing complex projects and teams, preferably with at least 5 years of experience in people management, including matrix management within a global environment.
- Proficient in software development methodologies and practices, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure and cloud development.
- Deep understanding of service operation principles and experience implementing agile methodologies.
- Proven expertise in navigating the complexities of the IT industry, with a keen awareness of emerging trends and technologies.
- Committed to upholding principles and values while effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to foster creativity and innovation, with a relentless focus on customer satisfaction.
- Skilled in developing talent and influencing outcomes, while maintaining a results-oriented approach to execution.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Mastery in application design and architecture, with the ability to effectively manage budgets and assess cloud computing solutions.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and conceptual thinking, coupled with skills in conflict resolution and external resource management.
- Adept at managing change and risk, with a strong foundation in IT project management and innovation.
