The role
As a Mechanical Vehicle Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be undertaking the mechanical service, MOT and repair of all vehicle types and equipment.
Day to day, you will be diagnosing faults on vehicles and carrying out rectification work. You will also be involved in assessing crash damage vehicles before fixing them.
- Fitting and rectification of mechanical components onto vehicles
- Conduct safety inspections, service ability checks and road tests
- Fault finding using diagnostic equipment
- MOT testing
This role is full time, 40 hours a week (overtime available) and will be based on site at our Walsall facility.
Essential experience of the Mechanical Vehicle Technician:
- Considerable mechanical knowledge and experience
- Up to date knowledge of vehicle maintenance techniques
- Understanding of and ability to follow circuit diagrams for installation and fault-finding purposes
- Ability to demonstrate high level of engineering industrial standards
Qualifications for the Mechanical Vehicle Technician:
- Considerable automotive mechanical experience (NVQ level 2 minimum)
- MOT tester qualification
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
