Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized staffing firm, is targeting an R&D Project Manager for our industrial manufacturing client, local to the Raleigh, NC area. The incumbent would be responsible for performing tasks including planning, scheduling, cost control and managing project phases.

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and analyzing current and forecasted schedules, cost, and risk assessments. Monitor reporting and manage deviations to ensure sound methodology and execution of practices based on internal standard procedures.
- Ensure schedule and cost control processes are within the project’s scope of scheduled work and cash flow, maintaining detailed estimates to analyze variances. Analyze project requirements, ensuring all essential activities and have been identified. Define cost breakdown structure, developing and maintaining baseline and fluctuating schedules.
- Monitor project progress, analyzing critical project paths to ensure milestones, plans and deviations are communicated. Ensure optimum input for issues which warrant progression of productivity data and project scope.
- Change management operations, closely communicating with engineering, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning teams, identifying potential changes in scope of work and cost impact.
- Mitigate risk, procurement variances and compose reports using SAP for project analysis, reporting back to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- PMP certification.
- 5 years’ experience performing tasks such as planning, scheduling, cost control and analytics.
