Key Accountability
- Report to Chief Pilot Training. Accountable for Flight Operations Training Department in coordination and administration activities. He/She is also responsible to ensure safety and security of flight operations in MASwings.
- Senior Instructor Pilot is responsible to the Chief Pilot Training to ensure MASwings ATR crew conducts safe, legal and efficient operations through optimized flight crew training. He is in charge of planning and completing the training necessary for the crew to acquire and maintain their legal license, qualifications and adequately performed their assigned duties. In cooperation with Executive Training Planning, he monitors the operation and identifies problems that may require the provision of extra training or changes in operational procedures. He is also responsible to ensure the safety and security of flight operations in MASwings.
Responsibilities
- He/she is to assist Chief Pilot Training in providing Flight Crew training and checks to ensure that Flight Crew Type Ratings, Initial and Recurrent Training and Testing comply with MCAR 2016, and that other Training Programmes which comply with the CAAM requirements.
- Establish training syllabus and check forms for all required training and checks and advise Chief Pilot Training on amendments to local and international regulations.
- Ensure the SOP and OM (D) are updated and current.
- Assist Chief Pilot Training in the selection process of Training Personnel including Designated Flight Examiners and Flying Instructors, supervision of standards of all trainers and instructors.
- Chair periodic Training Meetings when assigned by Chief Pilot Training.
- Ensure proper updating, recording and storage of Flight Crew training files to the required regulatory standards.
- Familiarization / updating on the latest developments / technology and techniques in Flight Crew training, flight standards, Safety and Security including the evaluation of new training equipment. Reviewing, developing and recommending cost effective improvements to training methods, simulator contracts, changes to safety equipment on board the aircraft.
- Liaison with engineering department with regard to Aircraft Modifications, Technical Issues, Airworthiness Directives/ Service Bulletins / Operations Engineering Bulletins related to Flight Operations.
- He/she is responsible for the training of all training personnel (DFE, FI) and ensures that common standard applies. He defines the training requirements and ensures that the training facilities and equipment fulfills the regulatory and company requirements and specifications. He plans all ongoing and long term training and recurrent activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Pilot Training.
Qualification
- Hold a valid ATPL and Hold ATR rating
- 6 month experience as Pilot in Command with FI experience
Working Experience
- Pilot in Command at least 500 hours
