The rate of pay for this position has increased to $41.71 per hour.

Responsibilities:
The Building Maintenance - Licensed Electrician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, installing, adjusting, maintaining and documenting all mechanical, hydraulic and electrically operated plant equipment.
You have a strong background of skilled trades experience specifically in building maintenance and have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. You are self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.
- Insure the efficient use of materials and maintain adequate stock of necessary equipment
- Complete daily worksheets, and weekly reports as required
- Maintain and repair material handling and production equipment
- Maintain building and all related mechanical equipment
- Maintain a PMP for the plant on the machines
- Enhance existing equipment reliability and efficiency
- Knowledge of proper documentation when ordering components/tools for repairs
- Responsible for ordering maintenance components when required
- Keeps work area, tools and equipment in an orderly manner
- Monitoring hallways and common areas for repair needs
- Perform other duties as needed
Key Requirements
- Industrial experience in troubleshooting and repairing
- Must have the ability to carry out corrective measures to repair production equipment
- Expected to work with minimum guidance
- Well organized and good interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, manuals and specifications
- Ability to work as a team player and communicating effectively at all levels
- Passionate about customer service
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communicator (oral and written), who demonstrates sound judgement, tact and works well in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently, organizes work to ensure full proficiency and productivity is achieved
- Ability to handle high volume of work and maintain confidentiality
- Self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in an environment that encourages and fosters teamwork, participation, creativity, honesty and mutual respect
- Knowledge of safe lifting techniques, as regular and repetitive heavy lifting (approx. 35lbs) is required
- Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology
- Team player who can work independently
Education, Certificates, Licenses:
- At least 1 year of building maintenance/operations experience
- Millwright 433A Certificate required
- Knowledge of general building maintenance procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Clear criminal record (this will be verified)
- Dedication to providing exceptional service
- CSA approved safety shoes an asset
Working Conditions:
- Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noises
- This is a physically demanding position - Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
- On-call rotation for after hours is required
