The Cabin Safety Compliance Officeris responsible for contributing to the ongoing safety and compliance of the Network Aviation safety management systems (SMS) and manuals that support the Cabin Crew department. In this role you will be seen as the subject matter expert (SME) for Cabin Crew Occupational Health Safety and Environment (OHSE) operations, and be directly responsible for the administration, support and compliance.
Review, collect, and report OHSE and SMS data and make recommendations
Facilitate company risk assessments and support preventative OHSE actions
Develop and maintain procedures and documentation to support Cabin Crew programs
Passionately facilitate meetings and support the leadership team with analysing data
Provide an effective line of communication regarding safety to management and crew
Maintain knowledge of CASA regulations and facilitate reviews of company manuals
Participate as a SME inQantas Working Groups for Cabin and Aviation Safety
Be a department Safety Leader and act with due care to safeguard staff and customers
Experience in a safety focused role and experience compiling procedures or reports
Strong knowledge of Cabin Crew or Aviation operations
Proactive and enthusiastic approaches to safety initiatives and compliance
Previousexperience presentingcomplex information in a simple understandable way
Ability to analyse data and draw meaningful conclusions and recommendations
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others
Strong and durable relationships with management and frontline staff
