Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Fleet Reliability, the Reliability Analyst will provide support to the Technical Operations team through oversight of aircraft system trends and delays through data analysis and assessment of reliability performance, with the goal of improving the Airline’s Operational Reliability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect and process in-service reliability data
- Track, report and provide recommendations to the Director, Fleet Reliability on component reliability and failure rates
- Review all unscheduled component removals for failure mode analysis and track NFF rates
- Provide recommendations for improvements on ATAs and aircraft systems based on trend data
- Liaise with vendors whose products fall below target reliability rates
- Review all OEM Service Bulletins and other technical documents and recommend for implementation as required
- Review effectiveness of previously implemented Service Bulletins, modifications, and Best Practices
- Produce monthly reliability reports with corrective action recommendations for Technical Operations management
- Produce recurrent fleet performance reports for external stakeholders (OEMs, Lessors, etc.) as required
- Compile data in support of maintenance program optimization initiatives
- Provide analyses for Technical Operations business cases
- Support cross functional teams with maintenance forecasting
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
- Labour data reconciliation in support of reliability improvement initiatives and efficiencies
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Previous experience in the aviation industry, having been directly involved in engineering, reliability or line/base maintenance operations an asset
- Possess a degree in Aerospace Engineering an asset
- Strong data processing skills with ability to handle large data sets
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access
- Working knowledge of data visualization software and statistical computing (such as Tableau, R programming) an asset
- Previous experience with AMOS an asset
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task during high-stress situations with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
