JOB FUNCTION
Supervises the Repair Station, creates team spirit, manages harmony among employee groups in order to achieve the highest levels of safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, 6 – S accomplishment, and instills the Lean manufacturing concept. Coordinates and works with all internal as well as external customers. Must ensure compliance with rules, regulations and the current labor agreement in a consistent manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops a work environment of open and honest communications that will instill confidence and credibility by actively engaging with the workforce.
• Leads by example; Exhibits enthusiasm and encourages a sense of urgency.
• Establishes credibility thru actions.
• Provides leadership, management, and organization to the repair station team, including technicians, inspectors, warehouse, and support staff.
• Manage material planning and inventory control processes to meet delivery and financial goals.
• Establish and monitor key business metrics
• Support the development and monitoring of pricing and warranty strategies
• Develops and implements work processes, standards, and policies for work conducted by technicians to ensure high levels of production and regulatory compliance.
• Communicates with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Assurance regarding product processes, issues and follows-up to make sure resolution is received and tested.
• Advises upper management on product development issues arising from product problems identified through bench test and service repairs.
• Ensure the repair and testing of all articles and components in a quality and timely manner.
• Ensure availability to the repair station of the current approved technical data on all articles tested or repaired by the repair station. Examples of the data would be manufacturer’s technical data and manuals, approved customer supplied data, service bulletins, parts specifications and other related FAA approved data.
• Ensure repair technicians and repair station staff receives appropriate training.
• Maintaining the repair stations equipment and tools in a serviceable condition to include required checks and calibrations and ensures stations areas are kept in a clean and orderly manner.
• Ensure the proper handling of parts, including any required special handling or preservation, and monitor the quality of the work during and after the repair process.
• Works closely Customer Sales & Service to increase customer satisfaction, and ensure orders and repairs are processed in a quality and timely manner.
• Initiates purchase requisitions as required supporting the repair stations operation.
• Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records.
• Plans and schedules levels of support according to product release schedules and assists in final testing of new products.
• Promotes 6 – S program and Lean manufacturing concepts.
• Provides training and development opportunities for personnel; oversees quality of workmanship, production cost, morale and attitudes of workers. Coaches and provides technical expertise to resolve production process problems.
• Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

• 5 years Supervisory Component Part 145 repair station background
• Experience with manufacturers drawings and specifications
