We are now looking for a sharp and business-minded Inventory Manager / Analyst to strengthen our team of Revenue Management and Pricing (RMP) experts. In the Inventory Manager / Analyst role, you’ll be responsible for managing flights & capacity over the life cycle of the flight. Your prime objective will be to maximize the revenue Finnair can get for each flight in the schedule. To be successful in this role you will need a solid understanding of inventory management, allotment sales & route management dynamics. In this role, you’ll also be responsible for identifying over- & under- performing flights & recommend proactive measures to maximize the revenue on these flights. We are looking for a goal-oriented person with analytical skills and true business-orientation who is ready to take responsibility for delivering the targets associated with their portfolio within Revenue Management & pricing. To succeed as our new Inventory Manager / Analyst, it is essential that you’ll have: Knowledge & understanding of airline overbooking, inventory management, pricing, O&D Revenue Management systems, allocations/allotments management, is desirable. Excellent analytical skills and experience with well-versed decision-making capabilities Demonstrated commercial and strategic thinking and related experience Excellent attention to detail is required, as is the ability to analyze, interpret & present data. Highly motivated self-starter, goal-oriented & like to get involved in & lead projects. Effective communication skills and ability to describe complex systems and strategies in an easy-to-understand manner Analytical experience coupled with the ability to use analytics to solve problems & make decisions is necessary. Well-developed prioritization and time planning skills with excellent attention to detail A strong & effective communicator who can work collaboratively as part of a team. Fluent English, both written & verbal, is also required. Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, business, aviation or engineering In this role, as the champion of Inventory within RMP, you will apply inventory management best practice & utilize revenue management tools to ensure that Finnair’s flights consistently produce maximum revenue returns.
