The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes. Component & Material Services is a department within Technical Operations that supports aircraft maintenance with the needed components, parts and materials. The support services include component repairs, purchases and other agreements with external providers, supply chain management and logistics services. We are now looking for two Spares Supply Leads to work in the 24/7 Material Helpdesk team within the Material Operations organization. In this role, you will be the operational main contact point for internal stakeholders when it comes to urgent enquiries on material availability and AOG situations. This role is linked to all the operational material functions: component & material purchasing, pool orders, loan and exchange orders, outstation support, transportation and customs arrangements and receiving inspection related tasks. This is a diverse position where your actions have a notable impact on the success of the daily maintenance operation. Please note that this position requires rotating shift work as the team operates 24/7. Main responsibilities: To be the main 24/7 window towards MCC, aircraft maintenance, planning and other relevant stakeholders on material availability & enquiries. Monitoring the daily material requests and make sure that parts and updated ETA information is available for internal stakeholders. Liaising between internal stakeholders and operational material functions, to ensure optimal material availability. Performing proactive monitoring and steering of material inventory, for short and mid-term demand. Supporting, monitoring and follow-up for ad-hoc, short term material ordering, including AOG handling. Performing transportation and customs arrangements as well needed physical handling and receiving inspection for ad-hoc materials in urgent situations and beyond office hours. Supporting outstations with operational material tasks in urgent situations. Our expectations: Good team spirit and cooperation skills. Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations. Fluent English, both written and spoken required. Finnish will be considered an advantage. Strong interest and motivation to act in the role. Good coordination skills. Knowledge of working with AMOS & Excel. Knowledge in logistics/forwarding and spare part material handling. At least 3 years of experience in logistics/material handling/AOG desk actions/material support actions and/or 3 years of experience within the aviation industry. Experience in shift work. Vocational school or equivalent in a suitable field of studies or corresponding knowledge and skills regarding aviation industry/logistics.
