The role
As a HR Advisor you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be key in helping implement our ambitious people agenda throughout Mission Systems. As part of the People team, you’ll support the Mission Systems area of the business and will provide progressive HR expertise.
Day to day, you’ll:
- Support HR Business Partners in developing and driving people plans and provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on the application and interpretation of our policies and procedures.
- Support with employee relations matters and support leaders with onboarding activity.
- Ensure all elements of HR administration are carried out by the People Centre - e.g. starters, leavers, referencing, security and compliance checks, etc.
- Ensure that all activity relating to the employment life cycle is consistent and in line with legislation.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Leverage reporting tools to gather and manipulate HR data, conducting comprehensive analyses to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports as well as translating complex data requirements into easily digestible formats for diverse audiences, including local HR teams and key programme stakeholders as well as identifying data risks.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office/onsite (South Bristol, Devonport or Ashchurch) and 2-3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the HR Advisor
- Experience in an HR role
- Experience of HR Shared Services model and HR Information Systems (i.e., Success Factors).
- Experience within an engineering/technical environment (preferred).
- Trade Union experience (preferred)
Qualifications for the HR Advisor:
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Associate CIPD level), or working towards
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
