TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Activities & Development:
- Plan and execute sales and other commercial activities to meet corporate revenue, tonnage, and yield objectives
- Maintain and develop productive business relationships with freight forwarders, consolidators, cargo agents and other parties in the assigned territory
- Identify and develop new customer segments (road feeder, offline etc)
- Negotiate mid- longer-term volume and rate agreements, as well as conditions of contract with existing and new customers according to Cargolux’s process & standards
- Periodic communication with customers to ensure visibility and awareness of Cargolux’s Network, Products, value-added services, and opportunities
- Planning and executing of periodic customer visits and follow up through CRM reporting
- Promote Cargolux’s digital sales channels; set targets and liaise feedback
- Structural analysis of market trends, identification of bottle necks and opportunities
- Anticipate and formulate the impact on business according to economic and political actualities
- Customer Portfolio Management: Optimize the business performance:
- Preparing periodic sales growth plans for discussion with the Country Sales Manager
- Measure the customer return rate and define action plan
- Identify service levels needs and discuss possibilities/improvement with the company’s relevant stakeholders
Team Management:
- Define, discuss, and share the yearly/seasonal sales strategy
- Ensure team members are equipped and train to perform their duties as assigned
- Set team and individual targets, measure and discuss periodically
- Safeguard the set sales processes in accordance with Cargolux’s standards
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- At least 6 years of proven Cargo Sales experience is a must
- Experience in leading a small team
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- Excellent interpersonal skills (empathize with employees, challenge and motivate the team )
- Motivated leading by example and hands-on mentality are required
- Should be able to set goals, think analytical, be flexible, act independently and on your own responsibilities
- Ability to prioritize when presented with a high volume of work load
- Economical understanding of the air cargo market
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position based in Frankfurt
- Occasional travel
- A certificate of good conduct will be required
- Flexibility in working hours
