Position Summary
Thales requires a Quality Intern who will be responsible to analyze, define, and validate process improvement for Quality in North Kingstown Perso Site as well as increase the customer satisfaction.
As a Quality Intern, you will be working on projects to analyze the KPI’s of the site and define / improve the key processes to reduce the risks of a complaint, missed SLA and other KPIs. As a Quality Intern you will also use the information provided by the different internal systems (SESAM, I-CARE, Octopus, NCs) in order to define an improvement plan / project.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Analyze the current status of the KPI’s
- Define opportunities for improvements.
- Propose and present improvement projects that will improve the quality and customer satisfaction.
- Put in place control processes that will ensure the compliance with our manufacturing standards for quality, Security and HSE.
- Document properly the manufacturing process including any change proposed.
- Suggest, implement and follow continuous improvement action plans.
Minimum Qualificatons
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering BA Program
- Technical knowledge on Quality, industrial engineering or manufacturing processes.
- Technical knowledge on methodologies like SMED, PDCA, 5S, LEAN, ISO 9001, Green Belt.

Special Position Requirements
Physical Environment: This position requires occasionally lifting 10 lbs, as well standing for an average of 4 hours daily and short distance walking on our manufacturing shopfloor
Schedule: Days, 8 hours Mon.- Fri.
