Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Technician you will be responsible for contributing to the success of our Sensors Division working alongside our Production team. Additionally, this role will be responsible for performing assembly and/or testing of electro optical and infrared products.
Essential Functions:
• Perform incoming functional test procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair systems by replacing faulty components/assemblies.
• Install software and firmware in accordance with instructions.
• Per procedure guidelines, perform post-maintenance on tests.
• Prepare required service documentation in a timely fashion.
• Attend off site training courses and self-study as required to maintain competency and compliance with serviced units, company policies, and procedures.
• Interface with internal and external customers.
• Provide regular status reports on work in progress.
• Uphold safety requirements by wearing PPE and properly using work equipment in designated areas.
• Work against contractual deadlines to meet customer delivery dates.
• Access and utilize web based technical publications.
• Follow ESD, FOD and Lasers procedures.
• Follow industry standard or practice for 6S.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience reading test procedures, operating instructions, drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
- Minimum 2 years of experience planning/organizing with ability to prioritize work assignments.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in working individually and in a diverse and team-oriented environment.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Able to work a 2nd shift
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Advanced computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Technical knowledge and skills in troubleshooting down to the component level.
- Analog and digital troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of infrared/optical/laser systems.
