The role
With 170,000 movements of vehicles and supporting 15,000 car parking spaces we aim to provide an exceptional and inclusive customer service experience to all customers within the airport. As a key member of our dedicated Car Parks team, you will play a crucial role in supporting customers to travel safely through our airport, in our car parks and as they leave on their return journey.
The Main Duties Of The Role Include
- Providing support across the car parks (including meet & greet) and landside operations.
- Monitor and maintain a presence at the entry and exit from the airport’s car parks.
- Use of the intercom system to ensure a smooth customer service.
- Providing barrier maintenance – Training provided
- Assisting customers with directions and general support.
- Collection and distribution of customer trolleys from both the airport estate including terminal front, car parks and airlock.
- To drive the trolley trailer – Full training provided/Proof of licence required.
- Litter picking, rubbish collection of all designated landside areas with safe removal and disposal of the rubbish at the relevant waste disposal site.
- Winter operations support, to include gritting, de-icing, and other duties to ensure the safety of both staff and guests on the airport site.
- Ensure mobile lighting rig units are filled with fuel to ensure they operate. Any issues flagged immediately.
- Working as a team to provide excellent care and standards are upheld.
What will make you successful in the role?
To Succeed In This Role, You Will Have/be
- A Clean Full Manual UK driving licence with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (Points to be declared)
- The ability to provide strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on excellent customer service experience.
- Demonstrate reliability and to confidently follow instruction in a busy environment.
- Be able to perform manual tasks and ensure training is kept up to date.
- Hold the capacity to work collaboratively within a team of colleagues.
- Possess the ability to work well under pressure in a changing environment.
- Basic computer skills are required for this role, so experience using a computer is necessary.
