Johnson Service Group is seeking a Material Handler III for a 12 month contract role. The Material Handler III leads the work of others and participates in work related to warehouse, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies. Works with independence in carrying out duties with limited supervision
.Responsibilities:
- Ensure a Safe working environment
- Ensure accurate, up-to-date records of inventory in stockroom and daily operations; completes necessary forms or paperwork for documentation.
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
- Monitor and prepare inventory reports
- Maintains inventory of materials and supplies as needed
- Operates fork-lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
- Data entry
- Pulling and moving material as needed.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Inventory control including but not limited to daily cycle count functions
- Ability to analyze trends and research root cause of inventory problems and suggest corrective actions
- Strong interpersonal skills needed to be able to communicate with system users as well as internal and external technical support
- Monitor all warehouse and store transfer and other transactions for accuracy.
- Good analytical skills
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to follow instructions
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Must have (5) years overall warehouse experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data manipulation via Excel
- Data Entry
- Customer Service Oriented
- Detailed Oriented
Work Conditions:
- Physical labor, deadline, overtime and continuous improvement process
- Safety is always the top most priority
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
