Astronics Advanced Electrical Systems (AES) is seeking a Production Test Operator on Second Shift in Kirkland, WA.
Hours are Monday - Thursday 3:00pm to 1:30am
JOB SUMMARY
The Test Operator should have a general mechanical/electrical aptitude, seeking further guidance from trained technicians as required. They will carry out their duties with an emphasis on 5s, safety, and quality. This role will follow set procedures and standard operational guidelines.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform set-up and routine go/no-go tests of circuits, and mechanical assemblies
- Control operations of equipment or systems such as HASS chambers, HiPot, and ATE’s
- Set up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods
- Document test results
- May maintain logs and records indicating malfunctions
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Demonstrates familiarity (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position)

- Comprehension – Ability to read and intrepret test data. Understand and apply information conveyed in written and oral methods
- Communication – Communicate information and ideas, written and verbal, so others will understand
- Problem Sensitivity — Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem and notifying appropriate people.
- Customer Service – Understand and quickly respond to customer needs
- Operation Monitoring — Watching indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
- Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Test Resource Management – Determine the most efficient use of test resources to match or meet production flow requirements
- Selective Attention — The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted.
- Controlling Machines and Processes — Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
Technical Skills:
- Data base user interface software
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Windows
- Electrical knowledge is a plus
Physical Abilities:
- Manual dexterity
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Lifting heavy items (typically 40 lbs.)
- Near vision
- Color and brightness differentiation - the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
- Repetitive connecting and disconnecting harness connectors
Work Environment:
- Possible exposure to high voltage
- Possible exposure to liquid nitrogen (LN2)
- Moderate noise environment

Salary is $21.93 - $29.67 per hour + $2.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift.
