Manager, Account Management
Amadeus GTD Southern Africa has an exciting oppotunity available for the right candidate to manage the Account Management team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The position will be based at our Fourways Offices in Johannesburg.
PURPOSE
The role of the
Manager, Account Management is, to both direct, lead and motivate a team of Account Managers. To proactively support and oversee account managers output concerning new business, retention, and development strategy. Manage the relationships between decision-makers within Strategic Key Accounts and the Amadeus Commercial Offices. the Manager, Account Management will be responsible for the overall satisfaction, acquisition, retention and development of the assigned Customer Accounts.
MAIN AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Act as the link between the Account Managers and the Amadeus organisation for all client needs, liaising/coordinating with various internal departments to ensure customer support and satisfaction;
- Build, develop and maintain relationships with decision-makers to develop opportunities, maintain, and expand business, visiting customers and performing product demos as required;
- Assume full responsibility for customers within the assigned portfolio;
- Comply with objectives set by the General Manager, achieving expected revenue, profitability, and satisfaction levels in portfolio;
- Ensure all Subscriber Agreements are renewed prior to expiry.
- Maintain a high level of current knowledge of the product portfolio and the benefits of specific products for customers as well as of other specific information (trends, strategy, competitors, pricing, etc.);
- Create, implement and monitor Account Development Plans and grow the team to have a more sales consultative approach;
- Ensure reporting tools are utilised, in order to monitor queries, requests and customer visits;
- ensure appropriate sales revenue targets are identified and implemented at the start of each financial year to ensure ongoing business objectives are achieved;
- Agree to an appropriate call cycle, for key customers.
- Analyse sales and development figures on a monthly basis to ensure; any emerging market trends are identified early; progress against annual sales targets is closely monitored with corrective action being planned and implemented if necessary; potential key accounts are identified early; and sales opportunities are maximised;
- Effectively manage customer account enquiries and issues in a way that enhances the customer relationship and promotes the organisation as being responsive and customer focused;
- On a regular basis, provide market feedback – on customer activity and issues so they may be addressed and resolved in a timely manner;
- Account Managers Team Administration, by approving travel orders, travel expenses, reimbursed claims in relation to budget, authorising leave requests, Objectives/KPI drafting and follow-up on objectives etc;
- Maintain budget expenditure;
- Involvement in the facilitation of Amadeus Quality Workshops.
