Northrop Grumman is seeking a Payroll Assistant 4 in our Irving, Texas location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform balance and adjustments based on request
- Support PA I-IV with complex payroll inquiries or processing related to Ed Assist
- Perform quality audits and reconciliations
- Provide feedback team to based on feedback loop and CSAT
- Auxiliary processing, i.e. Ed Assist Processing and Debt Recovery
- Respond to inquiries from customers within SLA
- Ad hoc query request
- Manage and create audit reports
Candidates must possess a strong characteristic for attention to detail and accuracy as well as demonstrate effective verbal and written communication. Candidates must be comfortable with problem-solving and organizing and prioritizing work demands in order to meet critical deadlines. Candidates need to have the ability to work independently with little direction in day-to-day functional responsibilities of the position.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma & 4 years of related education, i.e. business or accounting and/or relevant work experience
- Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (excel, word, and PowerPoint)
- 5-10 years of payroll processing experience including relevant regulatory requirements; internal policy and procedure; accounting practices; system software requirements
- Must be able to critically apply knowledge of FLSA, federal and state laws, etc.
- Experience working with multi-state locations
- Experience performing basic payroll calculations
- Experience operating a personal computer including standard software and some specialized accounting software
- Five years or more of experience involving extensive payroll duties
Preferred Qualifications -
- SAP experience
- Certified Payroll Professional
- Prior experience working in a shared service or center of excellence environment
Salary Range: $53,100 - $88,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
