About the team you are joining
IATA’s Business Intelligence Services are the focal point and driving force for data management and global BI services for the aviation industry.
The team is comprised of aviation industry experts, data management and analytic professionals and data scientists based in Montreal, Geneva, Madrid and Singapore.
The Schedule Data Analyst will work on a newly launched IATA schedule and MCT data collection program. This position involves working with the project team, airline stakeholders for analyzing data, conducting data quality checks, and providing insights to guide decision-making.
What your day would be like
- Collect and analyse large datasets from various data sources, including data received from airlines to uncover meaningful trends, patterns and insights that inform business decisions.
- Interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques.
- Responsible for conducting data quality checks on the incoming data, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Responsible for identifying any data quality issues and working with the data suppliers to resolve them.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation

- Bachelor’s degree; Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or aviation related field
- 3-5 years professional experience as a business or data analyst with extensive hands-on experience of data analysis
- Intermediate proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex data sets, identify patterns, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with data suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Attitude: Proactive in addressing data quality challenges
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with airline operations, scheduling, aviation data, and SSIM guidelines would be an asset.
- Organizational skills and attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data validation and quality assurance.
