Our Protected Vehicles team works closely with clients to design, manufacture, maintain and upgrade protected vehicles that keep people safe, all around the world. Our state-of-the-art workshops are set up to help us deliver Hawkei and Bushmaster military vehicles to strict defence standards – and set our people on rewarding career paths.
Based in Eaglefarm, Brisbane on Jagera and Turrbul land, your role purpose is -
Managing key responsibilities for operational performance and delivery including; all Service Centres, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Facilities and Security Management and other contractual/statutory requirements
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operations, enhance efficiency, and achieve organizational objectives
Lead and inspire a team of technicians, mechanics, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality service and maintain a positive work environment
Streamline workflow processes to maximize productivity, minimize downtime, and meet service delivery targets
Maintain high standards of service quality and ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards
Oversee inventory control processes to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize wastage
Drive a customer-centric approach by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering long-term relationships.
Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendorsc requirements and other projects
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Relevant tertiary qualification
Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the automotive, heavy vehicle or transportation industry
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower team members to achieve goals
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Proficiency in budget management, inventory control, and process optimization
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders
Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
