About Skyports
Founded in 2018, Skyports is an Advanced Air Mobility company developing and operating landing infrastructure for the electric air taxi revolution, as well as using drones for a variety of business requirements.
Our business is comprised of two entities.
Skyports Drone Services where we use drone technology to enable businesses to develop their logistics, capture key data, and improve operational efficiency. We are active in the rural deliveries, survey, surveillance and maritime verticals.
Skyports Infrastructure where we play a critical role in the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem; designing, building, owning, and operating vertiports that enable eVTOL operators to take off and land in and around cities across the world.

Role Description
Maintenance of the general ledger, including:
· Monthly journal postings
· Maintenance of accruals and prepayments schedules
· Maintenance of fixed asset registers
· Intercompany reconciliations
· Regular balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
· Maintenance and review of inter-company accounts
· Assisting with month end, including management accounts reviews
· Assisting with year end, closely working with the auditors
Payroll for the UK companies, including:
· Liaison with HR for starters / leavers and changes
· Process company payroll on a monthly basis
· Maintain and reconcile accurate records
· Management of the pension scheme, deductions, employer contributions, payments and statutory reporting
· New joiner and leaver processes, including P45
· Reconciliation of taxes to be paid to HMRC, and payment thereof
· Year end tax procedures including P60, P11d and other reporting requirements
What we are looking for
- Part qualified recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
- At least 2 year’s experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Experience leading payroll process preferred.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Sage Line 50 an advantage.
- Strong sense of ownership, confidence in own abilities and decisions.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that has a constantly evolving set of priorities.
