PRODUCTION OPERATIONS ANALYST (FLUID SYSTEMS)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and improve the scheduling and planning tools used to drive product flow throughout the factory
- Develop automation that reduces the burden on schedulers and production managers while improving effectiveness
- Own data integrity and reporting quality for the production operations and planning team
- Develop and improve data inputs for supply/demand signals and general production prioritization
- Define and develop department-level metrics that quantify the health of our operation, and influence change to positively impact production deliveries
- Produce data visualizations using both Grafana and PowerBI software toolsProduce complex ad-hoc queries and reports to steer the production organization
- Design, develop, and debug new tools to best fit the needs of a fast-paced growth
- Integrate with all levels of the business to understand current workflows and identify systematic gaps; help rapidly answer tactical business questions through analytical frameworks
- Apply different problem-solving methodologies to address production bottlenecks and scheduling/prioritization problems
- Monitor and create plans to address medium- and long-term production bottlenecks and material shortage risks
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, computer science, management information systems, statistics, economics or mathematics
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain management, or consulting role
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- On-the-floor manufacturing experience breaking bottlenecks and improving production flow
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain management, or consulting role
- Familiarity with and practice applying lean manufacturing methodologies
- Experience with scheduling, prioritization, and material planning in a manufacturing environment
- SQL proficiency (i.e. advanced joins, views/table distinctions, and basic query optimizations)
- Proficient in at least one analytics language (ex. Python)
- Understanding of database structures, query optimizations, and ETL development
- Start-up, consulting, or other demonstrated experience in high-growth, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Strong project management and self-directed prioritization skills
- Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences at all organizational levels
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across disciplines and with multiple levels of management
- Experience performing data analysis on manufacturing systems (e.g. Manufacturing Execution Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning)
- Master’s degree in engineering, operations management, computer science, management information systems, statistics, mathematics, or similar technical discipline
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
- Must be willing to travel up to 5-10%
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Production Operations Analyst/Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year
Production Operations Analyst/Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
