As a Digital Content Specialist, you’ll be responsible for crafting and creating written content for our digital channels that helps guide, educate and inspire our customers. You’ll have a high level of expertise in digital copywriting and content design best practices to ensure delivery of SEO-optimised and accessible digital content that aligns with our content strategy and brand guidelines.
This role will work closely with product owners, experience designers, digital producers and subject matter experts to create engaging and user-centric copy to improve readability, usability and accessibility of our digital content. This could include involvement in customer research and competitor analysis, content mapping to understand our customer’s goals and pain points, contributing any feedback about content issues and working with internal stakeholders to deliver legally approved content for publication.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have a deep understanding of the way content has an impact on the user experience as well organisational commercial outcomes. You’ll also need to have an understanding of SEO and accessibility best practice, have the ability to turn complex information into something digestible and engaging for our customer, understand how to inspire and encourage action through content, and knowledge of how to design and write effective content pages. You’ll be a champion for brand voice, consistency and style and know how to adopt the right tone of voice based on customer need or channel.
You’ll have –
- 5+ years of experience as a Digital Copywriter, Content Designer or UX Writer with demonstrated copywriting experience in a product, corporate or agency environment, incl. writing for digital platforms
- Experience producing digital content for different audiences, within existing brand and styles guidelines, and optimised content for SEO and accessibility
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or relevant field and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Technical strength with ability to produce both structured and creative writing
- Ability to learn quickly to understand regulatory requirements and nuances of requested topics
- Sound experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen eye for detail
- Acumen for strategic thinking, logical and analytical problem solving
- Keen interest in digital marketing trends, best practice and innovation
