Reactor Engineering is accountable for the component design, substantiation and safety case of most components comprising the reactor assembly. This includes the core, core structures, CRDMs, and the reactor assembly itself. The department skills include design, physics, performance, materials, and structural integrity.

As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for the overall delivery of control accounts to within their cost, time, and quality limits.
- Responsible for the development of control account requirements in agreement with the Project Manager
- Responsible for developing and maintaining control account artefacts such as the control account schedule, statement of work and risk register. Ensure that changes to artefacts follow the correct change control processes.
- Identify and securing resources needed via commit accept with the programme teams and internal resource owners.
- Budget management and allocation for all aspects of the Control Account
- Risk and opportunity management of the control account scope.
- Responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reporting all aspects of control account performance, providing variance analysis, and ensuring corrective actions are in place where there are deviations from plan, in line with company standard processes which may include Earned Value Management.

- Qualified to at least degree level in a field such as project management, business management, operations or engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Extensive experience in the management of projects / programmes of increasing complexity.
- Ideally, has experience and / or knowledge in all stages of a project lifecycle and has been responsible for the delivery of one or more of those stages.
- Exposure to non-core project management roles such as operations, purchasing, commercial, engineering management etc.
- Experience of setting up, managing and leading multi-functional teams.
- Influencing and management of key project stakeholders (internal and external)
- Experience managing projects with high a volume of complex issues is desirable.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
