As a Global Commodity Manager at Rolls-Royce Electrical, you will wield your advanced degree and deep experience in procurement and supply chain management to drive strategic direction, deliver resilient results under all market conditions, and oversee product cost management—pioneering the future of strategic procurement in a high-stakes, innovative environment.
Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to:
- take the helm in forging top-tier management and strategic alliances with suppliers, ensuring they align with Rolls-Royce's ethical standards,
- champion long-term cost optimization aligned with business objectives by harnessing category-wide spend reductions,
- craft and convey comprehensive strategies for commodities, categories, and suppliers, setting a clear, strategic course for our supply networks to support current and upcoming production demands,
- select and manage supply chains that fulfill our stringent quality and delivery benchmarks, addressing any quality concerns with agility,
- directly lead recruitment and development within our strategic sourcing team, ensuring strict adherence to our rigorous processes and procedures.
Who we’re looking for

To be successful in this role you will need to:
- possess a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, coupled with extensive experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial Contracting, or Manufacturing,
- show a consistent ability to deliver results in various conditions, highlighting adaptability and perseverance,
- have a background in high-level strategic planning and industry analysis, with a track record of managing product costs effectively,
- commit to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally,
- possess fluency in English, with proficiency in German considered a significant asset.
