We are strengthening our team and looking for an SMS Manager to join Heston Airlines office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The SMS Manager oversees safety management systems, ensuring compliance with ICAO and European standards. Requires leadership, and communication skills, including knowledge of regulations like EASA AirOPS and Part M/CAMO.
THE SMS MANAGER WILL:
• Maintain Heston Airlines’ Safety Management System (SMS), overseeing its day-to-day operation and adherence to established procedures;
• Ensures all components of the SMS meet the specific needs and requirements of Heston Airlines, aligning with industry standards and best practices;
• Represent Heston Airlines during audits and facilitate their visits to ensure compliance and effective communication;
• Manage systems for collecting and reporting safety-related data, and promote a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential hazards;
• Facilitate the evolution of Heston Airlines' SMS to adapt to changing environments and emerging safety challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in safety practices.
YOU ARE WELCOME TO APPLY IF YOU HAVE:
• Knowledge of ICAO standards and European requirements and provisions on safety management;
• Knowledge of risk management and airline operations;
• Oral and written communication skills in the English language;
• Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices;
• Knowledge of regulations EASA AirOPS and Part M/CAMO.
• Bachelor or advanced degree.
