Job Description
The successful candidate will report to Senior Manager Flight Ops Rostering . He/She will be one of the six planners responsible for planning and tracking the rosters of over 2,000 pilots operating 6 different aircraft fleets (B737, B787, B777, B744F, A350 and A380). The person will initiate and support system enhancements to crew rostering and tracking systems to enhance roster efficiency and rostering processes. The person will also undertake and participate in rostering-related projects and matters concerning technical crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise the rosters of the technical crew.
- Ensure rosters are published in a timely manner and compliant with all rostering rules (incl. regulatory, industrial and welfare rules).
- Ensure all flights are fully and appropriately manned by qualified pilots.
- Ensure fair distribution of flights and flying hours among the crew.
- Proactively work with inhouse developers and ITD teams to improve rostering efficiency, optimise processes and enhance roster quality.
- Plan technical crew annual leave bidding and assignment.
- Automate manual rostering pre-assignment tasks and other manual processes.
- Undertake projects and studies to improve technical crew rosters.
- Work with Fleet Management to better meet technical crew’s needs in the areas of rostering.
Requirements
- Degree in any discipline
- Some operational and planning work experience and knowledge in airline business and crewing will be advantageous.
- Computer and system-related skills and/or experience
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Planning and operational skills
- Strong people skills and team player
