Responsibilities
Manage large, complex supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness targets are achieved eradicating and/or escalating problems efficiently both internally and externally to minimize impact on our business. Develop and agree contracts as required, and manage and enforce complex contractual obligations. Raise orders and/or other demand signals accurately and on time to ensure all goods and services are supplied in accordance with customer and company requirements, whilst at the same time optimizing levels of inventory. Manage day to day activities in support of the procurement of materials and services including obsolesce, engineering changes, part revisions, invoice issues, pricing discrepancies, expediting/de-expediting, cancellations, and the management of defective materials. Manage system and supply chain performance parameters such as supplier contact information, lead times, minimum order quantities, delivery frequency, and schedules. Review performance data related to purchasing effectiveness and efficiency in driving corrective actions where necessary. Proactively work with major suppliers and commodities to discover and exploit opportunities for continuous improvement, performance improvement, savings, and other efficiencies by working across supplier and internal organizations. Ability to research and analyze data effectively. Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports. Excellent customer service orientation. Well organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Field of study/area of experience, 2+ years.
