The Senior Vice President Operations reports to the Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for the oversight of all Technical Operations as well as the Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC). This leader is responsible for Technical Training, Maintenance Operations, Engineering and Quality. In addition, they will also be responsible for operational excellence by overseeing Crew Resources, Flight Dispatch, Charter, and Guest Operations within the IOCC.
This Sr. VP will work closely with the Breeze commercial planning team to meet strategic goals and ensure operations success by tactically building our operations plans. Finally, this leader is responsible for analyzing current and past operations, creating corrective action plans then executing the plan to ensure future success.
Here’s what you’ll do
- Work closely with the COO to establish clear overall business and operating strategy for the Technical and Integrated Operations teams
- Use analytical data to ensure operational excellence and to identify opportunities for enhancement of the operation
- Plan, communicate and implement the total maintenance programs required for Breeze’s fleet
- Responsible for all functions of the IOCC, ensuring safe operations throughout the day, every day
- Responsible for the growth and development of the leaders on the Technical Operations and IOCC teams
- Establish and control technical safety and airworthiness standards for the Breeze fleet in conformance with FAA requirements
- Identify, evaluate, and implement ways to improve reliability, cycle time, quality and cost
- Oversee all maintenance activity of the aircraft fleet, engines, and components, as well as all aircraft modification while managing relationships with major Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) providers.
- Receive all operational constraints from each department and ensuring execution is possible compared to the plan and providing feedback to the operations and planning teams
- Continuously analyze current workflows and processes and implements process improvement plans
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Operations (DO) and Director of Maintenance to identify issues, find resolutions and ensure operational excellence
- Be responsible for the technical & operation systems and analytical tools
- Provide strong leadership that inspires team members to reach their highest potential
- Encourage leadership development by providing consistent and frequent feedback
Here’s what you need to be successful
Minimum Qualification
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in airline industry
- Seven (7) years of experience in an airline leadership role
- Experience leading a large and diverse work force
- Expert knowledge in excel, Skywise and predictive tools
- Extensive knowledge of fleet technical management and regulatory requirements
- Full understanding of airline operations
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Current Passport with the ability to travel to and from the United States without restrictions
- Ability to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short notice
Preferred Qualifications
- 4-year degree from an accredited university
- Extensive knowledge of Power BI or tableau reporting
- Experience working with the MRO community
