Airbus is looking for a Senior Group Manager – Head of Digital Operations.
The Head of Digital Operations is part of the Digital function which is located within our Digital Global In-house Centre (GIC). Success of this position will require strong international collaboration with global Airbus teams.
The Head of Digital Operations is responsible for developing and maintaining applications across different Product and Service lines such as Procurement, Industrial Solutions, Plants and Final assembly lines for Digital applications with high level technologies and functional architecture. Our team is answering business needs from the whole Airbus organization across the world, mainly Europe to deliver products in a user centric approach (customer satisfaction). Therefore, we are in contact with every Airbus Operations function using digital technologies from manufacturing to procurement, logistics, Quality etc.
The team is working in close collaboration with the Products or Products and Service Lines Managers in Europe. The Head of Digital Operations in India is integrated in the Europe Digital for Operations routines and interacts frequently with the Head of Digital for Operations (Head of DO Domain) in Europe.
Primary responsibilities
Manage and lead the Digital for Operations team within the respect of Airbus values in close collaboration with the Head of Digital for Operations in Europe
Experience of leadership in a complex/geographical context.
Entrepreneur, proactive mindset with excellent business awareness and understanding.
Experience managing teams, with excellent team-working skills in a culturally diverse environment and a willingness to get alongside issues, provide clear direction and drive results.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Enable team to drive simplification and optimization of daily activities and tools being used across domain with different business like procurement , operations and end users in Final Assembly
Support team in building the roadmap on plan for future applications in close collaboration with the Product Manager in EuropeLead the team using a performance management and development process with the right training program.
Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action when it’s required.
Coach, mentor, provide oversight and direction to the team accordance with the organization's policies and procedures
Develop the team to take the delegation and empower them to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization's goal and objectives
Maintain transparent and appropriate communication with the team and with Europe
Responsible to take business decisions in accordance with organization policies and procedures
Responsible for overall budget management
Work closely with the ERP teams to ensure the projects meet business needs, on time, on cost and on quality
Create relationships with customer facing and enabling functions’ stakeholders, developing deep understanding of the business future direction, strategies and needs.
Develop a short-term plan and long-term roadmap to deliver business success through technology for the market.
Take the accountability of developing and maintaining a detailed project follow-up & ensure that deliverables are in line with the timeline. Manage accordingly risks through mitigation planning
Ability to provide solutions, determine overall management direction and provide recommendations for complex issues
Managing coordination of the teams and working groups engaged globally in the different projects
Manage global communications and alignment with all stakeholders
Liaises with, and updates progress to, senior management incl. Head of DO Domain
Overall Cost /budget Estimation and control by managing all aspects
Conduct the performance evaluation of the team
Help the team identify their appropriate career path & develop competencies of the Team and prepare for future competencies
Qualification & Experience
Graduate/Post Graduate with 15+ years of experience Experience in delivering applications/projects preferably in the industrial environment with following criteria:

Business / affairs Management
Program Management
Ability to engage and motivate people
Experience in building new teams
Defining technology roadmaps
Agile Safe Methodologies
Europe culture / past working experience in Europe
Intermediate level (Good to have):
Knowledge in Aerospace domain
Knowledge in Industrial domain
Quality management System awareness is desirable
