Job Summary

The Network Operations Program Manager is responsible for the initiation, execution, and tracking of Network Operations projects and programs at the department and enterprise levels. This role provides research, analysis, and coordination of summarizing operational events, long-term projects and programs, and the Network Operations strategy and planning. The Network Operations Program Manager is a detail-oriented thinker who looks forward to being part of meaningful and impactful initiatives at Southwest.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Responsibilities
Partner with Network Operations Leadership and other operating departments to drive various operational activities required in the ongoing support of the Company's Network performance objectives and metrics
Responsible for driving cross functional department conversations, recommendations and delivery
Present a strong and realistic viewpoint for operational improvement opportunities to support the Network Operations Team
Contribute to the measurement of strategic opportunities and programs
Provide guidance to other department Peers and other Team members
Fosters solid change management within and across departments for projects and initiatives
Identify root cause and solutions for the problem statements related to Network Operations
Collaborate with Leaders throughout the NOC organization and other Operating departments
Support the measurement of multiple strategic and cross functional opportunities and programs
Partner with NOC Leaders, Corporate Planning, FP&A and Technology departments to ensure alignment throughout the strategic alignment process
Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of commercial aviation operations
Skilled in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Ability to think strategically and understand the relationship between current actions and future consequences
Ability to handle and resolve complex issues and work at a fast pace
Ability to effectively define the scope of a project and secure resources as needed
Ability to work with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage sensitive situations while maintaining confidentiality
Ability to work as a team player who is open minded while working within regulatory constraints
Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality as well as meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Ability to handle multiple situations/work streams simultaneously
Ability to work in a highly organized manner
Ability to work with others as part of a Team and communicate effectively face to face, in writing and virtually
Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
Must be able to work extended hours based on operational needs.
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $112,950 - 125.5K per year * depending on qualifications and experience.
For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
